Predictions!
During the Summer Olympics Canada is usually only a blipp on the medal standings but the winter Olympics is where we shine...cause we do stuff on ice and snow. So...make a prediction. Do you think the US will have more medals by Sunday or will Canada come out on top? The last I checked the US had 18 medals (2nd place) and Canada had 14 (5th or 6th place).

Well it's in Italy this year right? And do you know what else is in Italy? The Mafia. So lets analyse this.
Canadian athletes are probably less likely to anger the Mafia since both share a love for hockey and curling.
Americans on the other hand spent the last year rejecting hockey due to the strike and laugh in the face of curling.
weighing in these facts I would have to give the advantage to Canada as the probably have the closest connections with the Mafia and can "pull certain strings"
...I have no clue what I'm talking about.
Let's just say that TODAY there is a showdown in curling...US vs. Canada--and it's the medal round. The winner gets to play in the gold medal round, the loser the bronze...the US men have been a surprise.
And I know--I have been watching almost all of curling on CNBC during the day here. As an American--I think curling rocks (and not just the 44-lb stones). There is a lot of strategy and skill involved. Sport--as much as billiards or chess or bowling or whatever...but looking forward to the showdown!
Other than that...I don't think at this point that Canada can come back in the medal count. They have 1 up on us in hockey, I would guess--but we are 1 up in the women's figure skating. But both teams have done well in some, but definitely had some disappointing performances as well. But all in all--it's been a fun games and I look forward to the finish!

Hmmm....hard to say really. Canada is doing well, but there have been a few let downs as well.
I hoping for the best (that Canada will get more than the US), but am prepared for the worst (they won't beat the US!).
We'll see what happens!!
ok--looking close now! 19-18 as of this morning's bronze by a US woman's snowboarder...
And yeah, Canada showed it's dominance over the US in curling...winning 11-5 to advance to the Gold medal game against Finland. The US now takes on the UK for the bronze.

Man oh man it's close! Right now it's 25-24 for US....I dunno...not looking good for Canada to win this! I'm pumped that we're currently in 3rd though for medals...
OK--so the final tally was
US--25 (2nd Place)
Canada--24 (3rd Place)
So what was the difference? The US finally getting a curling medal!
